5 Reasons To Visit The USA

With an abundance of spectacular National Parks and pristine beaches, unique culture and centuries of history, this amazing country offers something for everyone, and is certainly somewhere that should be visited at least once in your lifetime

The Culture and History

The culture of the USA differs from state to state, many with different beliefs, traditions, backgrounds and each gives you a totally unique experience. The USA was founded on the 4th of July 1776, which was when the USA declared its independence. On this date each year, major celebrations are held throughout the region. There are more than 35,000 museums throughout the USA from historical monuments to war museums, and from science centres to art galleries, there is much to see and learn when you visit each of these.

Beaches

The beaches in the USA provide something for everyone, whether it’s basking in the sun, snorkelling, riding the waves or to show off some muscle. Some of the best beaches can be found in Hawaii, Florida, Massachusetts and California.

National Parks

There are around 59 national parks in the USA, and attract more than 200 million visitors a year, providing some of the world’s most spectacular scenery. Grand Teton National Park has over 200 miles of trails passing lakes, and through the snow-capped peaks of the Grand Teton Mountains. Great Smoky Mountains National Park is home to one of America’s oldest mountain ranges as well as a chunk of the famous Appalachian Trail. The most popular is the Grand Canyon, as well as offering perfect photo opportunities; the 277-mile-long and 18-mile wide UNESCO World Heritage site offers endless hiking opportunities as well as the chance to raft the Colorado River. These National Parks are only a few to name, but are some of the most popular choices to visit.

Food

Burgers, Fried Chicken, Macaroni and Cheese are just a few American dishes that we have all come to know and love, however they are never better tasted than in the country itself. In the USA there is also a strong Italian and Mexican influence on foods, so whatever food you are in the mood for, you will find it in the USA. Let’s not forget that there is a huge amount of fast food establishments, for days when you are feeling particularly lazy why not drive through.

The Big Cities and Small Towns

From New York City to Chicago, America’s big cities are usually known as the “cities that never sleep” with bustling streets and a huge variety of nightlife to keep you entertained. If that’s not for you, and you are seeking a more laid-back feel, why not visit the Southern States like North Carolina or Texas.
