Why Visit Italy

Full of natural beauty, exquisite food, incredible art and an enviable style, there are many different reasons why you should visit Italy at least once!

Venice

The city of Venice is set across a group of 118 islands in a small lagoon separated by canals and linked by 400 bridges. It does not have any roads, just canals including the Grand Canal, lined with Renaissance and Gothic Palaces. Venice and its Lagoon was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1987, in recognition of its unique heritages and its cultural traditions. A trip to Venice wouldn’t be complete without a famous gondola ride.

Florence

As well as being the birthplace of a Renaissance, it is also the capital of Italy’s Tuscan region. Full of history and art, although a city, Florence has a small-town feel. One of its most iconic sites is the Duomo, a cathedral with a terracotta tiled dome. Attracting millions of tourists a year, it is no wonder that the Historic Centre of Florence was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982.

Rome

Rome is the capital city of Italy and boasts some of the most popular tourist attractions in Italy such as the Colosseum, St Peter’s Basilica and the Trevi Fountain. Located within the city of Rome is The Vatican City, which is the only existing example of a country within a city. Rome boasts some of the biggest squares in Italy, and they have a perfect a perfect chilled out vibe. We recommend taking a seat outside with a glass of wine and watch the world go by, taking in the Italian culture.

The Leaning Tower of Pisa

No trip is complete to Italy, without taking a picture with this iconic monument. The Leaning Tower of Pisa started to tilt during its construction in the 12th century, due to the ground surface it was built on. The structure continued to tilt until it was stabilised and the tilt partially corrected in the last 20th and early 21st centuries. In front of the tower is Pisa Cathedral and the Pisa Baptistry.

From the mouth-watering pizzas, to pasta such as carbonara or lasagne and from the wide selection of breads, cheeses and antipasti’s. Let’s not forget about dessert, with an abundance of gelato flavours to tiramisu, best served with a nice Italian coffee. There will be a food that everyone falls in love with here.
